Projects
- Built CodeFlow for the Hugging Face Build Small Hackathon 2026: a fully local tool that turns source code into animated control-flow flowcharts, with every node linked back to the exact source lines it came from. Runs a LoRA fine-tune of Qwen3-Coder-30B-A3B (a Mixture-of-Experts model with ~3.3B active parameters per token) on CPU via llama.cpp as a ~3-bit GGUF, fine-tuned on 2,400 synthetic code-to-flowchart pairs.
- Implemented a suite of deep reinforcement learning algorithms from scratch in PyTorch, solving a range of control and game environments:
- Bipedal Walker — SAC, DDPG, and TD3 across the Easy and Hardcore environments.
- Lunar Lander — PPO and REINFORCE for continuous-control physics navigation.
- Flappy Bird — Deep Q-Learning with Dueling and Double DQN extensions.
- Blackjack — Group-Relative Policy Optimization (GRPO) and Robust Policy Optimization (RPO) on Gymnasium’s Blackjack-v1.
- chessMAPPO — Multi-Agent PPO (MAPPO) self-play between white and black agents, built on python-chess and PettingZoo.
- Built an end-to-end Hindi-English neural machine translator with a Transformer architecture implemented from scratch in PyTorch, including a custom SentencePiece tokenizer, rotary positional embeddings (RoPE), and beam-search decoding.
- Built a hybrid rules-based + LLM retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) system solo in 24 hours at HackerRank Orchestrate 2026; classifies user input, retrieves relevant chunks from a support corpus, and generates grounded responses while mitigating prompt injection and hallucination. Placed #298 of 1,349 experienced AI engineers and undergraduate competitors.
- Built DebateSearch, a full-stack web app that surfaces hidden debate round videos and integrates AI-powered recommendations to improve accessibility for debate students.
- Built hwagent.org, a full-stack student dashboard aggregating assignments and assessments, with a secure PostgreSQL login system deployed via Render and Cloudflare.
Open Source & Technical Writing
- Contributed to Deep-ML (deep-ml.com), an open platform of interview-style machine learning coding problems, as an open-source contributor.
- Produced machine learning problem walkthrough videos on my YouTube channel, solving difficult ML problems frequently asked in technical interviews.
- Authored an ongoing technical blog documenting AI project development and conceptual deep dives across reinforcement learning (PPO, GRPO), world models, and deep-learning fundamentals; published on personal website.
